He made his debut in 2006 as director and scriptwriter of the feature film ‘La noche de los girasoles’ (The Night of the Sunflowers), for which he was nominated for Best Script and Best New Director at the Goya awards.  Between 2007 and 2015 he was a Bambú Producciones director on TV series including ‘Desaparecida’, ‘Velvet’, ‘Bajo Sospecha’ and ‘Gran Hotel’, also collaborating as a scriptwriter. He created and wrote ‘Crematorio’ together with his brother Alberto in 2011. He also directed the Mod Producciones series for Canal+, which received an Ondas award for Best Spanish Series.

He founded Kubik Films with Alberto in 2016. Their first production ‘La Zona’, for Movistar+, was created and written by the brothers and directed by Jorge, and received the Feroz award for Best Series of the Year in 2018. The series ‘Nos vemos en otra vida’ (See You in Another Life), produced by Kubik Films in collaboration with Disney+, is his latest work as creator, scriptwriter and director.

He is currently working with Kubik Films on several projects for different platforms.

Alberto, an architecture graduate, began his career in the audiovisual industry as the artistic director of the Spanish feature film The Night of the Sunflowers (2006). He quickly transitioned to roles as a scriptwriter and producer. Alongside Jorge, he created and wrote the series ‘Crematorio’ for Canal+ in 2011, and co-produced it as well, leading to an Ondas award win that same year. He collaborated with Bambú Producciones on the series ‘Gran Hotel’, writing several scripts.

In 2016, he founded Kubik Films, acting as content producer together with Jorge. Alongside his brother, he was creator, scriptwriter and producer of the series ‘La Zona’, awarded the Feroz Award for Best Series of the Year in 2018. His latest work as a creator, scriptwriter and producer is the series ‘Nos vemos en otra vida’ (See You in Another Life) (2024), a Disney+ collaboration.

He is currently working with Kubik Films on several projects for different platforms.

Producer, Production Manager, Post-Production Supervisor; she has more than 20 years’ experience working on Spanish and international films and TV series, including ‘Maixabel’ and ‘Nevenka’ by Iciar Bollain, ‘Akelarre’ by Pablo Agüero, ‘Subsuelo’ by Fernando Franco, and ‘Sacamantecas’ by David Perez Sañudo. With two Goya Award nominations under her belt, her films have been shown at Cannes, Sundance, San Sebastián, Tokyo and Mar del Plata film festivals, among a number of others.

Madrid, 1979. Cultural manager, director, actor and set designer in the field of performing arts. He also collaborates on audiovisual projects with his brothers, Jorge and Alberto Sánchez-Cabezudo, and studied a Master’s in Executive Production for Film and TV Series at ECAM from 2022 to 2023.

His career in the performing arts is intertwined with a socio-cultural narrative that aims to involve the public in creative processes. His work as founder of the Sala Kubik in Usera (2010-2017) and his creative projects are a benchmark in managing inclusive spaces to engage the public and local communities.

In 2017, he received the Premio Max Award for Best Private Performing Arts Company for ‘Historias de Usera’. From 2016 to 2018, he was artistic director of Chinese New Year celebrations in Madrid, and in 2017 he was assistant director of the Corral de Comedias in Alcalá de Henares.

In 2019 he received a grant from the Royal Academy of Spain in Rome to develop the Storywalker Garbatella project, and was subsequently awarded an honorary medal for his contribution to the institution on the occasion of its 150th anniversary.

He joined the Centro Dramático Nacional team from 2020 to 2024, acting as an artistic coordinator and advisor.

Teruel, 1988. He graduated from ECAM with a degree in film direction, and went on to study a number of courses: feature film scripts with Rodrigo Sorogoyen, Film and New Technologies with L.M. Kit Carsson, etc. He has directed a number of fictional short films, touring national and international festivals with works including ‘La familia de mi novia’ and ‘Biodiversidad’. However, the main focus of his professional career is on director traineeships, working on numerous productions such as Velvet, Las Chicas del Cable, Fariña, La Estrella Azul, and more.

In 2020, he was selected from among 1000 candidates for a Film Academy Residences programme, where he developed the miniseries ‘Operación Viridiana’. From that point on, he has focused on scriptwriting and developing projects at Kubik Films, where he joined the scriptwriting team for the miniseries ‘Nos vemos en otra vida’ (See You in Another Life) for Disney Plus.

Madrid, 1982. Her career as a producer and executive producer spans more than 10 years. She studied journalism at Madrid’s Complutense University and Lisbon’s Nova University. With a degree in Executive Production from the University of Medellín (Colombia), she was awarded a MEDIA grant for the EAVE Puentes production workshop in 2013. She has produced and co-produced fictional feature films, documentaries and short films selected at festivals worldwide.

With over 15 years’ experience in the industry, she has also worked for other producers in diverse areas of production, distribution, marketing, press and post-production on national and international films. She joined the Kubik Films team in 2022.
